How to enable the new Facebook with dark mode

Facebook announced dark mode for desktop last month as a part of major UI redesign. The new user interface is live for everyone to try and it brings a major improvement in overall design of the Facebook desktop layout and design.

However, while going through all the new changes and improvements, it is easy to miss out the new dark mode option and how to activate it.

Facebook is giving users the option to manually activate the all-new Facebook and while doing that it asks users to enable the dark mode. However, if you have already enabled the new Facebook then you’ll have to dig into the Settings option and toggle on the dark mode.

Steps to activate dark mode on Facebook web

1.Open Facebook.com on your browser and click on the down arrow from the top right corner

2.Here, click on the option ‘Switch to New Facebook’

3.Click ‘Next’ in the welcome popup of the New Facebook

4.Choose Dark option and click Get Started button

5.If you have already Switched to New Facebook, click on the down arrow and enable the Dark mode toggle.

Steps to turn off dark mode and switch back to old Facebook

If you are not liking the new Facebook design and looking to revert back the changes, follow the steps below.

Click on down arrow and look for the option Switch to Classic Facebook

Click on it, the Facebook will reload itself and change the interface to its classic design
