As we gear up for Samsung’s star launch of the year – its flagship Galaxy Note 9 – it appears that the company is also planning a few additional launches in India some time soon. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is the company’s first Android Go smartphone as revealed by leaks in the past. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is also expected to launch sometime soon.
According to a report by MySmartPrice, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core (model SM-J260) and Galaxy A8 Star (model SM-G8850) could launch in India soon.
SAMSUNG GALAXY J2 CORE FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core would be the company’s first Android Go device. However, unlike other Android Go smartphones, which run stock Android, this device is expected to use the TouchWiz UI found on its range of smartphones.
Thanks to previous leaks, the information available reveals that the smartphone could feature a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, with 1GB of RAM, and an internal storage of 16GB. The J2 Core is also likely to have an 8-megapixel primary camera, and 5-megapixel selfie camera. In addition, the device is expected to be powered by a 2,600mAh battery. A recent image leak also showed Samsung ditching physical buttons in favor of on-screen navigation buttons.
SAMSUNG GALAXY A8 STAR FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS
In the case of the Galaxy A8 Star, there have been several leaks in the past, with the most recent being Bluetooth certification.From the recent reports, we know that the device features a 6.28-inch full HD+ Infinite display and offers a display resolution of 2220 x 1080. In terms of processor, the device could be powered by an Exynos 7885 or Snapdragon 660 SoC. As is the trend, the Indian market can expect the Exynos version. In addition, the device is expected to have 4GB or 6GB of RAM, with an internal storage of 64GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is expected to feature a dual-camera setup at the back, with a 16MP sensor paired with a 24MP sensor. The phone is also said to support dual-tone LED flash. For selfies, there is a 24-megapixel camera at the front. Underneath the hood, there is a 3,700 mAh battery, which is said to support fast charging technology.
