Airtel revises its Rs 399 postpaid plan, offers 20GB additional data

Airtel in its latest review of plans has revised its Rs 399 myPlan Infinity postpaid plan. Under the recent change, it now offers additional 20GB data for a year.
Till now, customers were given 20GB data monthly along with unlimited voice calls daily without any FUP and an additional 100 SMS per day. According to a report by TelecomTalk, with the latest change in plan, customers will be given an additional 20GB data for a year along with other benefits.
However, it is still to be cleared whether the additional 20GB data is offered on monthly-basis or for a year as the Airtel website reads ‘Additional 20 GB Data for a year’. It the extra data is valid for one year, then the plan continues to offer 20GB data daily with an extra 20GB data to be consumed over one year.
And if it is a monthly data, then the plan buyers will get 40GB (20GB + additional 20GB) data with a one-month validity.
Airtel’s Rs 399 plan is part of its Data Rollover scheme under which unused data gets added back to the user’s account. To recall, the telecom provider revised its Rs 399 plan in February this year when it doubled the offered data from 10GB to 20GB per month.
Earlier this year, Vodafone too revised its Rs 399 and Rs 499 plans. Under the new Rs 399 plan, Vodafone offers 40GB data per month. On the other hand, its Rs 499 RED plan offers 75GB data every month.
