If you want to know if your MacBook Pro falls under the battery replacement programme, here’s how you can do so by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 4: Just enter the serial number of the device and you’ll find out whether your MacBook Pro is eligible for battery replacement or not.
Apple has further clarified that this is not a safety issue and the company will replace eligible batteries, totally free of cost. The affected models were manufactured between October 2016 and October 2017. This is a worldwide programme and customers who bought the MacBook Pro during the above-mentioned dates can get their laptop’s battery replaced.
The company has also said that, “If your 13-inch MacBook Pro has any damage which impairs the replacement of the battery, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the battery replacement. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.”
As for the MacBook battery programme, it covers affected MacBook Pro models for five years, which means it could run till 2022.
